Alex Reyes is a litigator with Blackwell Burke P.A. in Minneapolis, MN. Her practice is focused on defending business matters across a broad range of areas, including contract disputes, financial services litigation, products liability actions, and business torts.
Prior to working at Blackwell Burke, Alex practiced with Troutman Sanders LLP in Atlanta, GA for seven years in the firm’s business litigation and financial services litigation sections. She also regularly completed pro bono legal work, including representing a mentally disabled U.S. citizen in a civil rights actions involving the client’s wrongful and illegal detention and deportation to Mexico, and representing an unaccompanied minor in immigration proceedings and related state court proceedings through Kids in Need of Defense. While with Troutman Sanders, Alex was selected as a Georgia Rising Star in Business Litigation by Thomson Reuters in 2017 and was named one of the Top 40 under 40 lawyers in Georgia in 2016 by National Black Lawyers.
In addition to her work with LaAmistad, Alex serves on Board of Directors for the Clarksville, Virginia-based Literacy InterActives, Inc. and serves on the Alumni Council for her alma mater, Wake Forest University.
