Andrew Jackson

Volunteer Coordinator

Andrew Jackson was born and raised in Lakeland Florida. He was homeschooled for most of his life, and became very passionate about theology and philosophy during his studies. He originally intended to attend Southeastern University, but instead chose a different course.

After graduating high school, he joined a non-profit leadership program, where he attended and trained for four years. During his time in the leadership program, Lead Institute, Andrew learned and became efficient in public speaking, management, conflict resolution, and student mentorship. He also worked with various other non-profit organizations in volunteer work positions while in Lead Institute. As he continued to develop his leadership skills, Andrew also began to realize his passion for theology and philosophy had only grown more through his experience in Lead Institute, along with a new desire to teach.

After leaving Lead Institute, Andrew moved to Newnan Georgia in April 2016. After a few months of job hunting while driving for Uber, Andrew was introduced to LaAmistad by a family friend. He quickly made a connection there and was brought on to part-time staff in September 2016, and has since been brought on to full time staff as Volunteer Coordinator. The connections that he has made are invaluable, and only add to his desire for teaching, leadership, and mentorship.

Andrew is proud to be an online student at Regent University, where is he is studying Historical Theology. He plans on continuing his education with a desire to pursue his Ph.D. in Theology. He enjoys reading a good book, cooking, and is an avid movie watcher.
