LaAmistad Afterschool at Church of the Redeemer

Program Details

LaAmistad After School at Church of the Redeemer is for students in K – 4th grades and meets Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the school year. Students arrive at the Children's Education Wing in the lower level of the church campus where they have snacks and are free to play on the playground. After getting their energy out, we have a brief Bible lesson and prayer time. Then, students go into classrooms where they meet their volunteers for tutoring. Students use this time to complete their homework, study for tests, and work on projects. Once all required assignments are complete, all LaAmistad students can choose from a variety of enrichment activities. LaAmistad at Redeemer currently serves students from High Point Elementary School in Sandy Springs, GA.

About Church of the Redeemer

We are a community of people looking for Jesus together. We are committed to worshiping God, loving each other well, serving and beautifying the city (primarily through commitments to mercy and to the arts) and communicating the liberating Gospel of God in Jesus.

If this interests you, and if you want to find out more about who we are, please come and worship God with us. We often fall disappointingly short of our commitments, but hopefully you could agree that God is merciful.
