Viviana Rodriguez

Volunteer Coordinator

Viviana Rodriguez, born and raised in Lawrenceville, Georgia, has been engaged in the Latinx community since childhood. At the age of 15, she moved to Colombia to study abroad in order to further her Spanish skills. After her return, she graduated from Berkmar High School in Lilburn, where she continued to interact with the Latinx community by volunteering regularly at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church.

Viviana then worked for many years inside Plaza Fiesta managing a local Optometrist office that predominately catered to the Latino community. While still working at Plaza Fiesta, she took on the title of Parent Liaison for LaAmistad Afterschool Program at Shallowford Presbyterian. After her first year working directly with our students Viviana knew that the vision of LaAmistad aligned with her passions. This drove her to return to school to further her career in Early Childhood Education K-5. She is currently enrolled at Georgia State University to be more equipped to serve the community of students at LaAmistad. Viviana now serves as Volunteer Coordinator, Parent Liaison, and ESL Coordinator for multiple sites.
