Program Needs
ESL Teaching Opportunity
We consistently need TESOL certified volunteers and individuals with teaching experience. Qualified volunteers must have the ability to work with a pre-set curriculum, teach effectively, impact students positively, administer and grade exams in a timely manner. We provide training and classroom support on the usage of the material used by LaAmistad ESL. Volunteers who lack certification or experience can provide additional support in the classroom and serve as a substitute for the program once training is completed.
ESL Children School Opportunity
We need volunteers with the ability to work with children ages 3-11, to create a healthy, loving environment, play games, lead classroom activities, build trust with the parents and follow LaAmistad protocols. We provide training and classroom support for Children School volunteers.
Volunteer Registration
Volunteers make a 10 week commitment to the program and have the opportunity to renew their commitment toward the end of each session. To learn more about open volunteer opportunities, please complete the volunteer registration form below.
